We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Radiologist for a hospital in the South-East of England
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Duties:
- Interpret and report on various imaging modalities, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Perform interventional procedures (e.g., biopsies, drainages, and angiograms) when necessary.
- Ensure patient safety during imaging procedures.
- Teaching and Training:
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, radiographers, and trainees.
- Participate in educational activities, including lectures, workshops, and case discussions.
- Contribute to the training and development of medical students and residents.
- Research and Audit:
- Engage in clinical research, quality improvement projects, and audit activities.
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology and contribute to evidence-based practice.
- Administrative Duties:
- Attend departmental meetings and participate in service planning.
- Contribute to the development of protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Full Specialist Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- License to Practice as a Consultant Radiologist.
- Fellowship or equivalent qualification in Radiology.
- Demonstrated expertise in various imaging modalities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
